here's another one..i love all of the colors and the touch of light coming in at the back...

this is a painting i did for class..i love geraniums and their leaves are so great for painting..

orchids 07

i used to grow orchids i just have a few now but i can paint one from memory for the rest of my natural born days. it is like they are burned into my memory and i still love them. the top right is a brassia, the lower left is a bulbophyllum, isn't it weird, the large red one is a cattlyea, the one in the lower center is called dracula..it's blackish blue...fun

campus snow scene 08

this is a spot outside of the studio window that I chose to paint in class. the instructor said the stairs would present many problems (on the right) but I like what I did on them. if you look closely you can see a few figures here and there. this is one of my favorite paintings i think because of the colors merged with the snow.
